This project is about 'Liminal Spaces', to be exact, Liminal Spaces, according to Wikipedia, are "empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition, pertaining to the concept of liminality.". In my perspective Liminal Spaces goes into the city's in-between and generally lonely and neglected areas, that feel uncanny, some sort of transitional feeling, a sensation of being between worlds. The word liminal space often refers to physical areas that are in between their intended use, such as empty corridors, closed-down stores, or calm, dimly lit streets in the early morning or at night. The goal of this project is to show the spirit of some London locations through my photography, that simulates a unique choice I made which focuses on the dreamy aspect of film, while shot digitally, something in the style of Cinestill film.
